Yes, I agree with Jan too! Red is the rightful colour of Chinese New Year. We are having reunion dinner with our families tomorrow!!
To me, red colour could indicates hot, important and dangerous. Every colour has its own meaning. Indeed, it is important to (roll out the red carpet) welcome all those mean most to us like VIP.
