Nine Facts about Being Happy and seek happiness

by John James

As they say life is too short to deny yourself the chance of being happy. So, are you happy? If you love listening to music you must have heard the track "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin. The song has a message that gives hope to anyone who is stressed.

A happy life is also good for a person's health. This way you also avoid pressures of life. Research has disclosed that stress is responsible for the high number of deaths. When you are stressed you can't think clearly. It just destroys your self-esteem.

"The only thing in life that will remain the same is change." This is the best quote I've ever had. This statement is applicable in our lives. The fact that any situation we are facing is certain to change is where we find solace.

Finding happiness is as easy as deciding that you want to be happy. After observing humans behaviour Abraham Lincoln concluded that they're the ones who decide their outlook. However, it is easy to make a choice that will make you happy. Below are some facts about happiness.

1.) Be thankful. This is an attitude that you can nurture easily. Thank anyone who delivers a service that you needed regardless of their social class. The person you should always thank is God, he has given you the free gift of life.

2.) At times news can be stressing so get it in small doses. Some folks prefer to get news before starting the day's activity. Come to think of it, almost 99% of the news is usually bad news. Beginning a day with bad news is not the best way to start a day.

3.) Another thing about being happy is getting hooked up to the church. Use your time participating in church activities. Some of the activities include singing, praying and sharing scriptures that bring hope.

4.) Manage your time. Any time you are free do not waste that chance. Coming up with a schedule and prioritising important things are closely related to time management. These are the essentials of life.

5.) Laugh out loud each day. You can tell your friends that joke that you heard. Besides, "laughter is the best natural medicine."

6.) Show compassion to those surrounding you. Your affection will be appreciated by the people. If you are irritated don't let your anger get the best of you. You should keep quite because the words you say at such times will not do you any good.

7.) Personal satisfaction springs from hard work. You feel competent by doing so. Your time should be spent doing something helpful.

8.) Take some time to learn. Everyday's experience should give you a lesson. Learning prepares us for the future. In addition to that you have to do exercise that keeps you fit.

9.) Avoid negative elements. For example, toxins and loud noises are not conducive for humans beings.

Now you know being happy isn't difficult as you thought. Money cannot buy you happiness. "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be" is a quote from Lincoln that you need to remember always.
