Nine Facts about Being Happy and seek happiness

by John James

As they say life is too short to deny yourself the chance of being happy. So, are you happy? If you love listening to music you must have heard the track "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin. The song has a message that gives hope to anyone who is stressed.

A happy life is also good for a person's health. This way you also avoid pressures of life. Research has disclosed that stress is responsible for the high number of deaths. When you are stressed you can't think clearly. It just destroys your self-esteem.

"The only thing in life that will remain the same is change." This is the best quote I've ever had. This statement is applicable in our lives. The fact that any situation we are facing is certain to change is where we find solace.

Finding happiness is as easy as deciding that you want to be happy. After observing humans behaviour Abraham Lincoln concluded that they're the ones who decide their outlook. However, it is easy to make a choice that will make you happy. Below are some facts about happiness.

1.) Be thankful. This is an attitude that you can nurture easily. Thank anyone who delivers a service that you needed regardless of their social class. The person you should always thank is God, he has given you the free gift of life.

2.) At times news can be stressing so get it in small doses. Some folks prefer to get news before starting the day's activity. Come to think of it, almost 99% of the news is usually bad news. Beginning a day with bad news is not the best way to start a day.

3.) Another thing about being happy is getting hooked up to the church. Use your time participating in church activities. Some of the activities include singing, praying and sharing scriptures that bring hope.

4.) Manage your time. Any time you are free do not waste that chance. Coming up with a schedule and prioritising important things are closely related to time management. These are the essentials of life.

5.) Laugh out loud each day. You can tell your friends that joke that you heard. Besides, "laughter is the best natural medicine."

6.) Show compassion to those surrounding you. Your affection will be appreciated by the people. If you are irritated don't let your anger get the best of you. You should keep quite because the words you say at such times will not do you any good.

7.) Personal satisfaction springs from hard work. You feel competent by doing so. Your time should be spent doing something helpful.

8.) Take some time to learn. Everyday's experience should give you a lesson. Learning prepares us for the future. In addition to that you have to do exercise that keeps you fit.

9.) Avoid negative elements. For example, toxins and loud noises are not conducive for humans beings.

Now you know being happy isn't difficult as you thought. Money cannot buy you happiness. "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be" is a quote from Lincoln that you need to remember always.

Learn How To Be A Happy Soul

by Taiana Camarado

When I was at school, everyone always called me Happy Soul. They said every time they saw me I was always smiling and seemed happy! If you are not feeling very happy, chances are you are spending your time thinking not so happy thoughts; or, you are simply not doing those things that make you feel happy, often enough. The theory is that whatever you focus on expands. That's a well-known principle of life that many people have discovered. If you don't like anything, and it doesn't make you happy, why would you want to have it in your life? You wouldn't, Id hope!

Now that you know this unique principle, can you stop focusing on stuff you don't want? A friend of mine told me a story. Hes retired now, but hen he was teaching classes on how the human mind works, he asked a group of people in a large class, to think of a number from 1 to 10. Then, think of carrot, and then select a color.

From listening to the audio of the class, I recognized that he was using a mind game to lead them in a certain direction. The majority of the people chose 7, carrot, orange! I knew what he was doing, and more than 90% of the group got all 3 correct, and voila had given them confirmation of their mind power. Sure, it was a game, but he was expanded their minds in just one minute to believe that they were powerful intuits.

He said, Ive just demonstrated how intuitive you can be without even trying. Next, he asked the students to recall their favorite moments with their family, when they were kids, and everyone was smiling. Then, he asked everyone to remember their first kiss and everyone had big grins. He continued with stimulating memories: the first time we made love, the most passionate time we made love, and then everyone was moving in their seats.

Last, he told us to remember our most frightening moments in life and we were shaking and crying" and he said: now that you are all scared let me tell you this: What you think about happens. Whatever you think with either happy feelings or fearful feelings can happen easily! Those emotions make them happen faster. Emotions, he said, are the key to making all of it happen.

Emotions are feelings, they are emotional energy, they are psychic energy and its vital to harness and control that energy for good reasons and goals, not to experience any fear or horror because that will screw up your life plan and life style.

Now, you too, can break through the barriers, remove all barriers in your life, have success, enjoy wellness, experience awesome levels of happiness, feel a motivational spirit within, develop more self motivation, motivate yourself and others, improve your health, be more healthy than ever before, feel inspiration day, inspire others, know the secrets of life, and reach your own potential.

On the other hand, what makes anxiety fully damaging to our life. There is an association we make certain stimuli that is beneficial under normal circumstances. However if the stimulus is present to much of the time, or else the associations are too strong, then permanent life-damaging anxiety will be the result.

Depression, like its sister condition anxiety can be caused by several factors. To cope with our depression we will have to look into the personality of the person. Coping with depression means getting rid of it altogether. To cope with depression and anxiety, get back to the feelings. Take a look into the current emotional activity and emotional history developed since childhood.

After embracing your feelings and emotions, it is important to take the next step. Finding someone to share your feelings and emotional activity. Sometimes all we need is somebody to listen to our sufferings and mirror back to us our feelings to validate them. You are not alone with your feelings. • Medications called minor tranquilizers can be induced by the patient. Although taking medication to recover from emotional stress may lead to physical dependence and the likely recurrence of panic and anxiety symptoms when the medication is stopped.

• Exercise and relaxation techniques can also be done. Anxiety or panic attacks are of physical component, techniques for relaxing the body are an important part of the treatment plan. Any mental health professional can teach relaxation and stress reduction techniques.

• Cognitive-behavioral therapy is a psychotherapy that can help the patient to alter anxious self talk and mistaken beliefs that give the body anxiety producing messages.

• Stimulants are also present in the food that we are eating. Therefore, it is important to monitor diet and nutrition. Stimulant like caffeine and nicotine can aggravate anxiety. Even sugar and other food sensitivities can make people feel anxious.

• Support groups can be a great help. There are groups of people that can relate to what you are going through. The group can share experiences and recovery methods.

Staying close to your friends and family can improve your mood. Being social can have a positive impact on recovery and survival. The more in touch you are with your feelings, the smoother the recover is.

Learning the Art of Loving Life despite the Tough Times

Loving life may prove to be a difficult task especially when times are hard and the economy is bad. If you no longer know where are you going to get the resources that you need to get past through the days, you will be faced with an even bigger dilemma. Where are you going to find the strength just so you will be able to live past the tough times and survive the whole situation?

It’s all in the attitude. If you will face each day thinking that you will be defeated, what do you think will happen? You must practice looking at the brighter side of things. The economy is unpredictable. You do not know what tomorrow will bring. So you have to prepare for the good and worst that you may be faced with as days go by.

Here are some reminders that you can consider if you are faced with such situation.

1. Think positive. There are many advantages that this will cause you. This attitude will prove to be beneficial especially at times when you are feeling so low and think that nothing seems to be going right. By looking at the negative things and aspects at a positive note, you will be able to conquer everything with the right attitude and a warm heart.

You cannot stop hunger, poverty, war and the other problems in the world. It is okay to be concerned and help in your own little ways. But you have to face your own situation first. What are the problems that you are continuously faced with? You have to learn how to cope on your situation and emerge a better person throughout it all.

You must always start with your own life. You cannot help in creating a better world if you will not create a better life for yourself first. You must always think positive and act with glee on all the things that you do. This way, despite the weary situation that you are faced with, you can still find some light and reasons to smile and act kindly to be able to face the days ahead with the right attitude and a brighter outlook.

2. Know who you are. You must understand your strengths and weaknesses to know how you can handle things better. The problems that you are faced with help define you as a person. In understanding the scope in which you can handle such hurdles, you will be able to face the situation with more maturity and understanding as to where life is leading you.

3. Maintain a lifestyle that you can support. Sometimes, people are lured to money and more of it. They are eaten by greed and desire. After tasting some luxury, they will want more and experience such extravagance even if they can no longer afford it.

What do you hear people complaining about these days? They are indebted to credit card companies for being lured to acquire more than what they can really afford. Credit cards give people false hopes and take away their attention to the real ways into loving life.

These can buy you things that you have been wanting for a very long time even if you really cannot afford to pay up for them. In the end, what happens is that your bill becomes too much a burden that you can no longer think of ways of how you can ever repay for your purchases.

The Link between Staying Healthy and Loving Life

Did you know that nutrition deficiencies can be caused by too much stress? How can you avoid such fate? You can start by simply loving yourself and loving life.

It sounds easy. But many people are finding it hard to keep everything simple. There are lots of factors that this can be attributed to. First, everything nowadays seems to be happening so fast. People feel like if they will not do anything in order to keep up with the pace of the world that they live in, life may be tougher in the long run.

Simplicity is Beauty

Does anybody still believe in the meaning of this old saying? If you want to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle, you must first understand what you can and cannot do. You cannot keep on acquiring things that you cannot even afford. You cannot venture into various adventures that you may not even have time for or your health must not risk doing.

There are things that can spice up your life even if you keep on living by your means and according to what you can only afford. You just have to be creative and share your passion and dreams to the people whom you care about. This way, you are maintaining a healthy attitude and likewise, you are not risking your health unto any untoward scenes.

If you are concerned about stress and how it may affect your health in the long run, here are some activities that you must look deeply into. If you are guilty of doing the following, maybe it is time for you to think things over and start on the activities that will make you more productive but at the same time healthy.

1. If you are stressed out, your way of coping is to resort to the wrong foods. You tend to eat treats with high levels of fat, salt and sugar. This is caused when the levels if your cortisol or your stress hormone increase. Other people tend to gulp a whole gallon of ice cream after a stressful day. Imagine what it can do to your body in the long run. You may want to rethink things and consider the harmful effects of these activities before resorting to them.

2. Stressed out people also resort to coffee to increase their energy level. This may be a good morning starter. But if you become too much addicted to caffeine, this will cause your health trouble in the long run. You must not depend on coffee to keep you alert throughout the day. When a minute-long walk or a quick exercise can do the trick, then do such before you start going for another refill of your caffeine addiction.

3. Another thing that happens more often when a person is stressed out is that they skip the important meals. They do their best in order to keep up with a deadline and finish all their task. But they no longer think about their own health in the process. Such bad behavior will take its toll on your body as you get older. This may cause more problems in the end. It will be better if you will learn to finish your tasks but be mindful of eating the right meals in between.

This way, you are loving life and loving your obligations at the same time. And both may prove to be rewarding in the process.

Eating well is another practice of living healthy. Clean and healthy diet can improve your health as well as your weight. Again, the key is sneak smaller changes until you’ve realized that you are completely eating healthy. You can do the following for you to eat healthier:

• Eat more fruit with your cereals, salads and meals.

• Eat more vegetables. Add vegetables to your sandwich, pasta sauce. Instead of digging into chips for quick snacks, have available fruits and canned vegetables.

• Eat low-fat or fat free dairy. You can change your usual milk into skim milk or fat free yogurt.

Not only is it important to reduce your calorie intake when losing weight. You should also know when to eat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and the one meal that should be missed. Loving Life With A Positive Mindset

Loving life means trying to live a fulfilled life. But doing so can be difficult without having a positive mindset. For many people, it can be pretty hard to enjoy living a life full of problems and worries. But even in a situation such as this, life can be enjoyed by having a positive state of mind.

Having a positive attitude can help a person appreciate life more. It is looking into the good things in life more rather than its bad side. Having a positive mindset can help a person stay focused on what it needs to love life and enjoy it. Building up a positive mindset is not as difficult as others may think.

One of the important things to remember in life is that the way we think can influence greatly the way we act. By thinking always on the positive, we are reinforcing out attitude to focus on what good life has to offer. There are other ways that a positive mindset can be practiced on a daily basis. It is simply a matter of trying it out.

One way of creating a positive state of mind is by simply appreciating having a life. Some people may tend to forget that life itself is short of miraculous. Just the daily functions that life goes through tend to be overlooked most of the time. But in the seemingly ordinary and common activities such as walking, talking and having the ability to see can many of the wonders be exhibited.

Just imagine if you cannot walk anymore, talk to someone or see the beauty that is all around you. What if you suddenly find yourself not being able to do what you normally do? Many people only realize that what they have is valuable only after losing them. So why not appreciate life in general and the many things that you can still do and thank the high heavens for it. Now that would help you start putting on a more positive outlook in life- learning to appreciate what you have and are blessed with.

Another way of trying to develop a positive mindset is by trying to focus on the simple things in life. Life can be so simple and enjoyed more if people only learn to be content. But because some people strive for something more, complications ensue. Along with the complications problems and certain issues may come up. Over time, these things build up and would likely end up as a big burden that will prevent people from eventually loving and enjoying life.

By just focusing on the simple things in life, you try to avoid making life a little more complicated. And along the way, you try to avoid worrying about life the more you think about it. Worrying won't get you anywhere, only deeper into a hole that you may be building for yourself. The more you worry, the deeper the hole gets and the harder it will take to get out from it.

Another way to develop a positive mindset in life is to share what you feel to others all around you. You may not be aware of it, but loving and enjoying life can be contagious. If you have a positive mindset, try to share it with others by helping them think positively for a change. Just by looking at how good you feel about loving life, they might also wish follow your example.

Helping people develop positive mindset will not only be helping them love and enjoy life but also be a good way to reinforce your own zest for life. Surrounding yourself with people with a positive outlook makes it easier for you to maintain the habit day in and day out.

Loving Life By Eating Right

Loving life means taking care of your health. In order to do this, you might want to watch what you eat. Eating right is a good way to keep yourself healthy. With the right nutrition and a balanced diet, people live longer and feel more energetic. Eating right can help you enjoy and love life even better.

When it comes to eating right, you need to consider getting your body with the essential nutrients that it needs to function properly. A good way to effectively do this is by getting the nutrients from a variety of sources. If you regularly eat a wide variety of different foods, chances are that you are getting your daily essential nutrient requirements. It would not do you any good in trying to eat or pick the same foods over and over again. Doing so would only be letting your body get the same types of nutrients over and over again.

If you are trying to maintain an ideal weight or even trying to get rid some of it, you might be better off eating healthy choices instead of the common fast food variety. And because many people today are getting accustomed to a fast paced lifestyle, everything is needed quickly. Fast food seems suited for people who wish to live on the fast lane. But this choice can be very unhealthy.

Choosing to eat the healthy variety of foods can help you become better in the long run. Unlike fast food, the healthy organic variety such as vegetables, fruits and other unprocessed food products usually provide you with a host of nutrients your body needs. In the long run, these types of foods can give you the energy that you need to go on day after day, unlike unhealthy fast food. Over time, people accustomed with fast food only find themselves getting fat and getting tired often.

Aside form eating healthy, it is also important to have the body thoroughly hydrated. This means drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Keeping the body hydrated helps keep it functioning properly. Not only that, water also helps get rid of toxins in the body which can make it unhealthy.

Another tip that may be helpful to people who plan to eat right is by proper scheduling their eating time. It is important to know that the body works better if it gets the nutrients on a steady flow throughout the day. This means that instead of eating three big meals day in and day out, it may be preferable to eat five to six small meals everyday. This helps the body get the nutrients that it needs throughout the day. Not only that, eating six small meals at the proper intervals helps avoid the getting the body to feel hungry. Hunger slows down the body’s metabolism and can make one feel tired and slow.

Avoiding alcohol is also a good way of keeping healthy. For some, drinking alcohol in moderation may be the acceptable option. The reason is that, alcohol may increase the risk of developing certain health problems that may greatly affect how one lives life. Not only that, alcohol may also help drain the body’s supply of vitamin B, an important nutrient for normal body functioning.

Aging and Still Loving Life

Aging started on the minute that we were born. Loving life and living it to the fullest is something that we should have done since the start. So how can we age with grace?
Exercise is something that we should to keep a body fit. It would also help us live a longer productive life. As we grow older, the body functions start to slow down. It is important to stay active. Exercise also improves the cardiovascular system or our heart. Exercise increases the heart rate and enable blood to flow smoothly to the heart.

For older adults there are low impact activities like walking, swimming, yoga at tai chi that can be done. These trainings will reduce the risk of falls and fractures even increase endurance and boost bone density.

The kind of activity that the person is doing is not only what is important. Activities or exercise should be done at least once a week. Research showed that participants aged 65 and older who exercised once a week reduced their risk of death by 40 percent compared to participants of the same age who did not exercise at all.

Also changing the diet is very important in living a healthy aging life. As people get older, there is a need for an increase level of certain nutrients. Nutrient deficiency appears to increase with age. Some nutrients that are lacking in older adults are folate; calcium, magnesium, zinc, and vitamins D, E, B6, and C. Aside from these lacking nutrients, older adults also lack iron, zinc, riboflavin, and vitamins A and B12.

To change diet, the first thing to do is plan. Some people find it difficult to change their diet since they are used to unstable meal plans. Eating three healthy meals daily would require diet and daily meal plan. Diet for older people would require plenty of vegetables and fruits. Fibers are also necessary to keep cholesterol and sugar level down.

Dehydration is also another problem for older people. It is more difficult for them to know they are dehydrated because signals going to the brain signaling the need for water is no longer functioning properly. While there are older people who reduce their water intake to avoid trips to the bathroom.

Dehydration may lead to headaches, digestive problems, constipation and worse, kidney failure. Water intake should not be less than eight glasses a day. Take note of how much water you are taking in. You can add a squeeze of lemon or a little club soda if you are getting tired of drinking just ordinary water.

Not only our physicality is affected by aging but also out mental health. There are older people who experience mild impairment of thinking and memory. Because older people are no longer feeling or able to do the things that they were able to do before, many older adults become depressed.

Some symptoms of depression for older adults are social withdrawal, decreased activity with no apparent physical cause, loss of interest or pleasure in things previously enjoyed, loss of appetite, loss of weight, restlessness and expressed feelings of worthlessness, such as being a burden or a bother.

It is important these feelings. Being around with people like friends and family can definitely give support and security older adults are looking for. To achieve healthy aging, it is important to have close relationships with others and participate in regular activities that give meaning and excitement to life. Try visiting friends, volunteering, maintaining some form of physical activity and increasing leisure time.

Aging is inevitable – it happens to everybody. But healthy aging is something you should and can do to embrace life to the fullest and show your next generation relatives how loving life should be done.
